Statistical research includes estimation, statistical modelling, multivariate methods, circular and spatial statistics, data mining, and bioinformatics. Work ranges from methodological questions to analysis in scientific and societal domains.

Computer Science research includes artificial intelligence, data and database systems, software engineering, distributed and cloud computing, image processing, biomedical applications, semantic technologies, mobile and ubiquitous computing, and information security.
